Great, gained two ranks! :-)
Patrick
Hmmm. Just outside the hundred, but I'm there with Mary Ann Davidson (Oracle's head honcho for security) and "Blogger: 404 Error - Page not found. "
I'll take this as amusement value only.
I'm glad that you felt amused Gary. Finally, someone squeezed some pleasure out of my mostly technically "dry" blog.
Remember, this is not how much "authority" you have within Oracle corporation, so don't be surprised (but still be amused) if you have as much "authority" as Oracle’s head honcho for security.
By the way, thanks for pointing out the 404 error. That's what happens when a blogger changes where his blog is hosted without syncing with the aggregators. I'll update the URL in OraNA.info immediately.
Nice list Eddie although it does highlight that I should probably work harder! ;-)
Is there a way you can make the names of the blogs be hyperlinks so people can easily link to that blog ?
Just a thought.
Keep up the good work
Cheers
Jeff
Nice list Eddie, you said you are going to update and post it regularly, is it possible to have it update on demand or would that cause issues with technorati thinking you are spamming them?
cheers
Pete
I still find humor in that top-rated blogs aren't posted to for months. Another column of "last posted to date" might be embarrassing to some (and I might be near the top of that sort ascending :-)
Is it possible to make your Website/Blog field under "Post a Comment" larger?
Jeff, in the next edition I will try to make the names of the blogs be hyperlinks. In the mean time, there is the Blog URL column, just scroll a bit to the right.
Pete, Technorati allows up to 500 API calls per day per API Key. Using my API Key, the above list consumed 288 calls out of 500. So, populating the list on demand may not be an option, at least not daily.
Joel, the Technorati bloginfo API does return the date the blog was last updated. I may add this column in the next edition. The Website/Blog HTML input field under “Post a Comment” has a max size of 50 characters. I will see if the corresponding database column size is larger than 50 and update the HTML field accordingly.
Eddie, thanks very much for the time and effort for following this up.
Haha! I gained 22 positions. I've Tom in my sights! ;)
Cheers
